![]() MITRE has been gathering cyberthreat and cybersecurity information since 2013 in order to develop a globally-accessible knowledge base of adversary tactics and techniques based on real-world observations. MITRE ATT&CK-the cornerstone of modern cybersecurity Protecting companies across the globe is exactly why MITRE ATT&CK was founded. Maintaining the security for an ever-growing network can be challenging, but fortunately, no organization is in this alone. That’s why diligent and effective endpoint security has become so critical for organizations who want to secure their data, avoid regulatory fines, and uphold their reputations. Endpoints are especially vulnerable to malware botnets and other standard attacks. Working outside of controlled environments, employees are easy marks for social engineering ploys. They know humans are the ones running unpatched software or being lax with their security. Cybercriminals are always going to target the easiest method to achieve their goal. There’s no need to storm the castle if you can hide in a cart and pass through completely unnoticed. While it’s true that standard cybersecurity methods and capabilities have evolved over the years, it’s also true that hackers have adapted their methods to prey on the easiest targets. The blend between work and life has put businesses at greater risk than ever before, exposing them to costly breaches. People use their mobile phones for business and their company computers for personal activities. Centralized solutions are no longer viable on their own because business culture no longer exists within the boundaries of a confined infrastructure. ![]() ![]() ![]() Organizations, challenged with an increasingly vulnerable network, must embrace multi-layered endpoint security solutions in order to protect an ever-expanding number of endpoints. With people becoming the new perimeter, the number of vulnerable endpoints grows. However, as any CISO knows, that kind of mobility comes with great risks and challenges. Fortunately, the technology available largely supported this shift, and much of the enterprise workforce was able to continue despite not being in an office. ![]() The global pandemic precipitated that transformation, forcing much of the global workforce to adapt on the fly.
